Plug & Switch

This is how you convert your bath and shower. And save time and money too.

Do you prefer a bath instead of a shower? Or do you now prefer a shower surface instead of your bath? With our Plug & Switch system solution, you can convert your bathroom in no time at all - whenever you like.

This is how it works

Quite simply, via universally applicable components. You're probably familiar with the principle from flush-mounted fittings, with which fittings can be replaced without great effort.

At Bette, we have developed something similar for baths and showers: our Installation Box Easy Connect.

The clever thing about it: you can use it for baths, shower trays and shower surfaces.

Installation box Easy Connect

The Easy Connect installation box is the plug-and-play solution for safely connecting shower trays and baths. All the required components are pre-assembled in a box during manufacture – all that remains to be done is to connect the external pipework. The waterproof box is then fitted directly into the floor structure. It can also be integrated with the bonded seal and the sealing collar to comply with industry standards. There is no need for additional sealing with tape.

Quick & easy

You can change the bath and shower tray as well as the fittings sets quickly and easily.

Clean & quiet

There is no construction waste and where there is no drilling and hammering, there is virtually no noise pollution.

Fixed & inexpensive

A conversion from bath to shower tray can be realised in just one day with Bette Easy Connect and saves costs.

Mix & Match

Here you will find examples of our shower trays and baths that have identical dimensions and can be exchanged at any time.

It's so easy to exchange our BetteUltra shower tray with the waste on the long side with the BetteStarlet, BetteFree and BetteForm baths.

Only a few prerequisites need to be met for this:
  1. Recess of the tiling in the size of the bath in the floor area
  2. Drainage of the shower tray via Installation Box Easy Connect - sealed in the composite seal. The position of the installation box is indicated by the dashed lines in the picture below.
  3. BetteUltra shower tray with minimum support, 1 to 2 cm higher than tile
  4. Bath with feet or polystyrene support, on-site tile apron, depending on size, free-standing silhouette (1, 2, 3 sides) also possible

Here you can find another example with our shower surface BetteFloor with central waste and the baths BetteOcean, BetteSelect Duo and BetteSet.

In contrast to the BetteUltra example above, the installation box (dashed lines) is planned lengthways here.

Universal flush-mounted boxes

The second component of our simple conversion system, in addition to the EasyConnect installation box, is a universal concealed body for the shower and bath sets.

This allows standard mixer and thermostat solutions in the concealed area for shower and bath installation to be converted easily and as often as required.

Where to put the fitting?

For a successful conversion, it is important that you consider the height difference between the fittings for a shower and for a bath.

Shower fittings are usually installed at a height of 120 cm, bath fittings usually at a height of about 70 cm.

To ensure that the solution fits both uses in the end, we recommend setting our universal concealed box for the fittings at a height of 100 cm.

You can now install the bath spout at the usual height of 70 cm, and the wall connection for the shower hose at a height of 130 cm.

Colours and surfaces

We recommend matching colours and surfaces when renovating your bathroom. We have a wide range of gloss and matt colours to choose from. Or perhaps you'd like to choose one of our effect colours such as Blue Satin or Forest?
