Steel and glass: the basis of our bathroom products

The main body of our bathroom units is made from high-quality, enamelled titanium steel. Once the units have been removed, the steel they contain can be recycled via established collection and recycling processes within the steel industry. We deliberately avoid the use of organic solvents and thinners in the production of the enamelled surface. Depending on the formulation, the colour is achieved through the targeted use of specific metal oxide-based components, enabling a wide variety of durable surface finishes.

Firing at around 820 degrees refines the enamelled blanks into glazed titanium steel. This produces the non-porous BetteGlaze® glaze, which gives our bathroom products a particularly durable surface and ensures that their colour and lustre are preserved over the long term.

Given the limited supply of raw materials, the issue of recycling is becoming increasingly important. That is why we are constantly working to use materials efficiently and to reuse suitable production materials. I believe we have a responsibility to future generations in this regard.
